Review period - 28th June 2019, Friday
Quick review
- This is a relatively a new nudist zone which came into existence in 2017 in Paris.
- Presently, as on 2019, it seems to be the only public nudist place in the city of Paris which remains open on all regular days during summer (open for the third year in a row from April 13 to October 13, 2019.
- The nudist zone is a small triangular area, with edges roughly 110 m x100m x 50m, and is surrounded by woods from the other sections of the park. With these measurements, the area comes out to be 2500 sq. meters, however, I may be wrong, because as per this article, it is 7000 sq meters.
Detailed review
Weather
- Clear sky, almost 30 degrees Celsius on the evening I visited.
Visitors
- Almost 50 people in the nude section.
- Some cyclists and joggers were passing by the nudist section clothed.
- By the way, an interesting observation - The total number of visitors in the nudist section was higher than the total number of people in a much larger stretch of the non nudist section of the park. The people density was much higher in the nudist section.
Solo visitors present?
- Yes, only males.
Entry
- Free entry.
- No "couple only" entry rules.
Nudity rules
- Clear board demarcating start and end of nudist section, unlike what has been mostly the case with my visits to European beaches or parks.
Gender ratio
- Women : men was 0, as men were 100%.
- There was literally not even a single woman, not even as a couple. This was the largest crowd with such skewed gender ratio I have ever observed in my visits to nudist destinations so far.
- One point that needs to be considered here is that a Giant Naturist Picnic was scheduled in the same location next Sunday, which was in just 2 days, so it is also possible that many women/couples skipped any visits till then.
States of undress
- Almost 95% of the people were completely naked.
- People were nude only within the forest covering around the designated nudist section (as marked in satellite image above). Nobody was naked outside this area. People outside the nudist section were in normal clothes, not even in beach wear/undergarments.
Age bracket ratio
- (18-40) : 40+ was roughly 1:1.
Racial composition
- Majority whites, roughly 6% brown, 2% yellow or mixed and no blacks.
Ethnic composition
- Mostly French locals are expected.
Body sizes ratio
- Plus sizes were less than 30%, as far as I remember.
- Also, the percentage of lean looking fit people was quite high, roughly close to 40%.
Interaction level
- Medium.
Difficulty level
- Easy for men, difficult for women - only men naked and in large numbers.
Sexual activities observed
- No.
- One man standing with a full blown erection.
Activities & facilities
- No facilities in proximity, or for that matter even in the regular park area outside.
