Background
Last year, i.e. 2021 December, while we were preparing our Happy Nude Year calendar for 2022 (which was the 2nd time we were preparing our annual calendar), we thought of making it a bit more interesting. Instead of just compiling one hand-picked review for each month of the year, we decided to add semi-nude poses by volunteers, one each for a month. Also, we decided to make it a single forum for notable people to share the stage with budding enthusiasts.We knew that there were already countless nude calendars in the market, with nude/semi-nude models. We decided to do something unique. We started with the following agenda -
- Revealing the actual gender-wise participation - Given a chance to volunteer for our unique project, how many men and women would participate without getting paid.
- giving those people a chance to participate who don't get a chance otherwise, in our primary initiative, i.e. participation in our review submission contests by submitting us destination reviews. This could be because, either they have never travelled to any legal destinations, or they are not bold enough to get tagged on Instagram while participating and sharing about their experience.
There were a few concerns when we started, which were primarily about the safety and security of the participants and us.
Format and Participation Details
The format of the contest and basic rules remain more or less same like last year, apart from the theme, which is outdoors. As per the feedback received last time, we are making it mandatory this time, that the photographs need to be shot in an outdoor location. The rules for this year's calendar are given below but may be modified if necessary -
- The volunteer poses will be followed by hand-picked reviews of nudist destinations under calendar months.
- The volunteers will neither be paid nor they will have to pay, in order to participate in the project.
- The calendar is a stage which notable people share with budding enthusiasts. The budding enthusiasts could be regular looking females/males/couples, and preferably from cultures/societies/families where nudism is a taboo.

- Entry closes 15th December.
- While getting photographed, you may just hold an empty placard covering your genitals (and nipples for females). We would edit the placard area to add promotional content afterwards. The intention behind covering up is to playfully comply with censorship rules of various online platforms and also to not give too much shock to audiences from cultures like India.
- Please send one in portrait and one in landscape orientation for every pose.
- While covering the genital/nipples is mandatory, showing the face is also mandatory. Following are some pictures for reference. Note - the male participant below has happily volunteered for the project.
- You may get a professional photoshoot done if you wish to, but it is not mandatory. More than the quality of the photograph, we would look at how you relate to our unique idea. However, the venue of the photograph should be an outdoor location.
Available slots
Any guesses how many entries we received for the 2022 calendar?
Well, we had no idea when we started, as it was the first attempt with this format. We were almost certain that no Indian female would participate. But we had no expectations about anything else. We received 5 participations finally and we provided 2 slots each to them, thus filling up the 10 months for which we had reviews. We also faced many rejections at many stages when we approached the prospects. Many of the rules we mentioned, particularly those of covering the genitals, nipples, were met with stiff resistance from within the nudist/naturist community. We tried to address their concerns in the same reddit thread.
This year, we have 12 months of reviews, so we would like to get 6 entries for these. Also, we would like to have one slot for the cover page and the end screen, preferably by a known influencer or notable person. In total 7 slots.
Expectations
This year as well, we are not certain about receiving a female or couple entry, but preference will be given to them by reserving one slot out of the seven. One Indian female we had a voice call with, told us that she is interested, but scared about the consequences, and would find it much easier if some more females participate.
We request the community, to come forward with their full support and fill the internet with their participation so that it remains difficult to pin point a single person when this gains limelight in a few years!
